Operations & Finance Manager

Angel Ramirez first joined the consortium in 2014 as a social media intern. Today, he serves as operations and finance manager and oversees consortium-wide operations, accounting, board relations, and events and meetings administration. Additionally, in partnership with the executive director and the grants and programs coordinator, he contributes to program, grant writing, and reporting needs. Angel also collaborates with the communications coordinator in the development of the monthly newsletter and the expansion of CVHEC’s communication plan.

Prior to his current role, Angel supported the consortium’s work in several capacities including the creation of CVHEC’s social media presence on all platforms, administrative assistant/office manager, events coordination, and communications manager.

Previously, he worked for the Downtown Fresno Partnership and was a part of the quality control teams for Foster Farms and LiDestri Foods. He has also volunteered for the Marjaree Mason Center and United Cerebral Palsy Central California.

Angel is a first-generation college student and a native of the Central Valley, growing up in the city of San Joaquin. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Media, Communication and Journalism with an emphasis in Public Relations and a minor in Communications from California State University, Fresno and is currently considering MBA programs.

When he isn’t trying to keep the CVHEC website up to date, Angel enjoys searching for good restaurants and spending time with his friends, family, boyfriend Peter, and his pug Guapo.
