CVHEC Higher Education Summit set for April 9-10, 2026

The 2026 CVHEC Higher Education Summit will be presented April 9–10, 2026 in Fresno with a new location, announced Dr. Benjamín Durán, Central Valley Higher Education Consortium executive director.

Once again, the chancellors, presidents and campus directors of 28 higher education institutions – the CVHEC Board of Directors – will convene together with colleagues, partners and friends for two days of interaction, discussions and showcases regarding education issues pertinent to the consortium’s 10-county service region.

Presented by the CVHEC board with main funding support from College Futures Foundation, the 2026 summit departs from its usual Downtown Fresno location and will be held across town at Fresno State in the university’s new Resnick Student Union that opened in 2022.

Between 150-200 higher education officials and educators, legislators and partner representatives attend the summit that kicks off the afternoon of Thursday, April 9 (3-5 p.m.) with the CVHEC board’s quarterly meeting followed by the summit reception that evening (5:30-7:30 p.m.).

On Friday, April 10, the day-long conference runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. featuring  panel discussions and breakout sessions.

“At the summit, we’ll once again gather leaders from across the Central Valley to continue advancing collaboration and innovation in higher education,” Durán said. “We extend a special thank you to Fresno State President Saúl Jiménez-Sandoval for graciously hosting the event this year.”

Additional details, including registration and program information, will be forthcoming in future CVHEC newsletters and social media as well as through ongoing updates at https://cvhec.org.
