CVHEC EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR’S MESSAGE – December 2025
A great way to end the year: positive and
inspiring stories in the face of challenges and uncertainties
Greetings CVHEC friends and colleagues …
We know you are working hard to bring the fall semester to a successful conclusion for staff and students and are looking forward to a long well-deserved, restful and rejuvenating winter break. As we do the same here at CVHEC, we are happy to share the final newsletter of 2025 with you.

Please enjoy news from around the region, as well as an update for our upcoming Central Valley Higher Education Summit in April 2026 where we will share work progress regarding the four initiatives the CVHEC Board of Directors identified at its Strategic Planning Retreat in August.
We initially announced an early April date for the 2026 summit in our last newsletter but due to circumstances beyond our control, we have rescheduled it for April 23-24. See the updated SAVE THE DATE notice in this issue and be on the lookout for venue updates and registration info. We encourage you to plan on joining us. If you have attended before, we are looking forward to seeing you again and if this will be the first time you join us, we are sure you will not be disappointed. The summit is always a wonderful opportunity not only to gain valuable information regarding higher education issues pertinent to our region, but also to provide your input, network and meet new friends.
We believe that a great way to end the year is to share with you the 2025 CVHEC YEAR IN REVIEW, which takes us on a journey looking back at key stories the past 12 months as presented in our e-newsletter. The review chronicles positive and inspiring stories throughout our 10-county region and with higher education partners in the face of challenges and uncertainties we all experienced from our national administration.
When we look back at this historical 2025 year, we can all agree that it was a great period for our institutions as they collaborated effectively to overcome challenges and deliver the best higher education experiences for our students.
Thanks to all for a great 2025 and please enjoy the upcoming winter holiday!!
