CVHEC EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR’S MESSAGE (Summer Edition 2026)

Looking forward to a productive fall semester

A look back at the first half of our year

Hello friends and colleagues,

I hope you are having a restful and enjoyable summer as you begin to prepare for the beginning of the 2026-2027 academic year.  Let’s make it a great one.

In this summer issue we are returning from the summer hiatus and presenting you with an opportunity to review some of the highlights involving CVHEC and our member  institutions over the first half of 2026.  When you see the headlines of the articles published between January and May, you will see why the Central valley is no longer the “best kept secret” in higher education as captured in our CVHEC Story video released in May.  Be sure to click on the links and visit some of those articles.

In this abbreviated edition, you will see some Member News highlights which will include CVHEC Board of Directors transitions. Join us in welcoming new presidents and chancellors coming on board at Valley colleges and universities. We also ask you to join us in offering your farewells and good thoughts to outgoing board members who have moved on to the next phase in their personal and professional lives.

Once again, welcome to fall 2026!
