MEMBER NEWS: Dr. Marvin appointed Cerro Coso Community College interim president

The Kern Community College District (KCCD) Board of Trustees appointed Dr. Corey Marvin as interim president of Cerro Coso Community College, effective July 1, 2026.

Dr. Marvin has served the Cerro Coso community in a variety of leadership roles throughout his career including most recently as vice president of Instruction. His appointment reflects the board’s confidence in his proven leadership, commitment to student success, and deep understanding of the college’s mission and the communities it serves.

As vice president of Instruction, Dr. Marvin provided strategic leadership for the college’s instructional programs, working closely with faculty and staff to strengthen academic quality, expand educational opportunities, and support student achievement. Throughout his career at Cerro Coso, he has championed innovation, workforce development, and partnerships that enhance educational access across the college’s expansive service area.
