Coalinga College: 178 dual enrollment

high school students earn associates degree

Coalinga College celebrated a historic milestone at its Class of 2025 Commencement Ceremony in May with a record 772 graduates — a 29 percent increase over the previous year.

The event included another achievement: the highest number of dual enrollment graduates in the college’s history, with 178 high school students earning college credit and completing their programs before graduating from high school.

Coalinga High School, which had 19 dual enrollment students earning degree and certificates, posted this Facebook tribute of the historic event featuring CHS’ Kimberly Plantar singing the National Anthem at the ceremony.

Watch the live-streamed recording and the ABC30 coverage.
