REGISTRATION OPENS

CVHEC Higher Education Summit set for April 24, 2026 in Fresno;
Sponsor partnerships available

(UPDATE JAN. 30 2026) –  Registration is now open for the 2026 Central Valley Higher Education Summit that will be presented April 24, 2026 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Fresno (2233 Cesar Chavez Blvd.).

Also available this year are sponsorship packages at the event page.

Dr. Benjamín Durán, Central Valley Higher Education Consortium executive director, announced a change in this year’s format. The quarterly board of directors meeting usually held the day prior to the summit will be held that morning instead from 8-9:30 a.m.

However the event reception will still be held the night before, Thursday, April 23, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the breezeway outside of Valdez Hall, located across from the DoubleTree (702 M St.).

Hotel reservations are also available now by either calling directly at 559.268.1000 (code: “CVHEC Summit“) or by using that direct link to the code packages.

Once again, the chancellors, presidents and campus directors of 28 higher education institutions – the CVHEC Board of Directors – will convene together with colleagues, partners and friends for two days of interaction, discussions and showcases regarding education issues pertinent to the consortium’s 10-county service region.

“At the summit, we’ll gather leaders from across the Central Valley to continue advancing collaboration and innovation in higher education,” Durán said.

Presented by the CVHEC board with main funding support from College Futures Foundation, the summit attracts between 150-200 higher education officials and educators, legislators and partner representatives.

Associate Director Angel Ramirez said interest for partner support has grown for the summit that has evolved from a space to bring regional higher education leaders together into a recognized convening for collaboration, student voice and shared problem-solving.

“As the Central Valley Higher Education Summit has grown over the years, so has its impact,” Ramirez said. “Last year, we were encouraged by partners who reached out with interest in supporting the summit’s continued success. In response, CVHEC is excited to introduce sponsorship opportunities for the first time.

“We hope this intentional step will help keep it a well-organized, and meaningful experience as the summit continues to grow in ways that serve the Central Valley.”

Additional updates regarding agenda, panels and featured speakers will be forthcoming in future CVHEC newsletters and social media as well as through ongoing updates at REGISTER/event updates/HOTEL.
