MEMBER NEWS: Aunai returns to Taft College as new superintendent/president

The West Kern Community College District Board of Trustees  announced the selection of Dr. Samasoni “Sam” Aunai as the new superintendent/president of Taft College.

Aunai assumed his duties on July 1. Dr. Aunai brings nearly 20 years of leadership experience within the California Community College system. He most recently served as vice president of Educational Services at Coalinga College and previously served as the institution’s interim president.

His extensive background also includes service as vice president and dean of Instruction at Porterville College, as well as director of Career Technical Education at Taft College.
