Early acceptance pathway: undergrads can secure a spot in medical school before they graduate
The California Health Sciences University College of Osteopathic Medicine (CHSU-COM) recently celebrated the acceptance of the first Fresno State students who participated in the new CHSU Future DOctor Pathway Program.
CHSU’s “Future DOctor Program” is an early acceptance pathway that gives undergraduate students the opportunity to secure a spot in medical school before they graduate. Students as early as sophomores and juniors are eligible to apply and begin their journey toward a DO degree at CHSU.
California State University, Fresno is a partner in the new initiative with its students leading the way as some of the first to take advantage of the program. Both institutions are CVHEC members.
Celebrated May 2 as the inaugural Future DOctor cohort were Hannah Blackmon, Aiden Brown, Batool Abdelruhman, Yazan Shalaldeh, Vivian Nguyen, Khushleen Khakh and Prabhjot Gill.
