CVHEC Dual Enrollment Playbook featured on KSEE-TV
CVHEC’s Dual Enrollment Playbook, “Rural Dual Enrollment in Action: Lessons and Strategies from California’s Central Valley,” was featured Mar. 30 on KSEE24 Central Valley Today.
Host Kayla Holt interviewed CVHEC Associate Director Ángel Ramírez and Reedley College Dual Enrollment Director Richard Aguilar about the online 57-page digital report that was released March 16.
Authored by consortium dual enrollment co-leads Kristin Clark and Elaine Cash, the playbook chronicles how several CVHEC-member community colleges in our 10-county region have developed effective and replicable dual enrollment models with a rural feeder high school despite challenges such as geographic isolation, limited staffing and scarce resources …
Dual enrollment is a powerful opportunity that allows high school students to take college classes, earn credits and get a head start on higher education saving time and money. Parents are encouraged to check with their high schools. Schools that don’t have dual enrollment can use the playbook as a general roadmap to establish a program.
