Description:
The Central Valley Higher Education Consortium and it’s Board of Directors would like to invite you to our annual Legislative and Policy Summit coming up in May.
We are delighted to announce the return of our CVHEC Legislative and Policy Summit. It has become one of the most anticipated events here in the Central Valley regarding higher education in our nine-county region. This year’s theme, Recovering with Equity in the Central Valley, reflects the commitment of CVHEC leaders and institutions to an equity agenda that leads to completion in a timely manner.
Welcoming Reception on May 5th
For those of you who are able, we would like to invite you to a networking reception the night before on Thursday, May 5, at the hotel at 5:30 p.m. This would be an opportunity to meet and speak to other attendees in an informal relaxed setting.
The reception will feature a trio of college graduates or students from Hanford, “Las Hermanas Medina.”
The three Medina sisters are Sophia, an alumna of UC Santa Cruz; Bela, an alumna of CVHEC-member Fresno State; and Paulina, a current Fresno State student.
They perform and teach at the Kings Cultural Center in Hanford, under the direction of their father Juan Medina also a Fresno State alumnus. The KCC will provide a Cinco de Mayo theme for the CVHEC reception.
